JAMMU, Feb 1: Romesh Sharma from Jammu & Kashmir clinched two medals at the Sunrise Yonex All India Masters Ranking Badminton Tournament, held in Agra from January 21 to February 1, 2026.
Sharma secured a bronze in the Men’s Doubles 60+ category, partnering with Umesh Agarwal from Rajasthan. He also earned a silver medal in the Mixed Doubles 60+ category alongside Dr Shashi Yadav, also from Rajasthan. In their mixed doubles match, Romesh and Shashi defeated Delhi’s Ramesh and Prativa 21-6, 21-11, before losing a close final to Maharashtra’s Ayapam and Surekha by 21-14, 20-22, 21-12. Romesh’s impressive track record includes numerous medals in national-level tournaments.
