MENDHAR, June 30: Harni Club defeated Dharana Club in an easy contest by 20 points (24-04) in the summit clash to lift the title trophy of the Inter-Village Kabaddi Tournament, organized by Romeo Force of Indian Army at OP Hill Stadium, here today.
Six Village teams participated in this 2-day Tournament, which was held in the memory of Shaheed Nk Kamal Singh.
Commanding Officer CEO Rashtriya Rifles, Col Ramneek Singh was the chief guest on the occasion, while Ex Sarpanch Harni Waseem Ahmed Khan, Ex Chairman Panchayat Harni, Waqar Ahmed Khan and President Press Council Mendhar, MS Nazki were the guests of honour.
The chief guest along with other dignitaries distributed prizes among the winners and runners-up teams.
Speaking on the occasion, Col Ramneek lavished praise on the organizers for holding this event, which provided opportunity to the players of remote areas to showcase their talent.
He assured the Villagers that Army will hold big number of Tournaments in the area in future also.
