SRINAGAR, Oct 16: Cueist Riyaz Parray toppled Akif Malik in two straight frames to advance in the 22nd Srinagar District Open Billiards and Snooker Championship, being organized by J&K Billiards and Snooker Association at Sterling Billiards Hall, here.
Riyaz trounced Malik by (57-43,76-25) in an easy contest, while Mudasir Ashiq got better of Bilal Ahmed by (65-34,25-55,35-24) to move into the next round.
Meanwhile, cueist Younis Kuchey prevailed over Miya Bashir by (61-31,71-31) and
Adnan Khurshid outplayed Zahoor Ahmed by (54-28,56-36) to advance in the tournament. Adnan won the first frame easily by a big margin and prevailed over Zahoor in a close contest in the second set.
