JAMMU, Apr 12: Ritu Singh inducted Kritika Khanna, India’s first Para-rower as a member of FICCI FLO Jammu-Kashmir Ladakh (JKL) at Hari Niwas Palace, here today.
Ritu Singh is founding chairperson JKL carrying the logo of FICCI FLO “Power to Empower” in the truest sense of its meaning.
She expressed hope that Kritika is being nominated as the vertical head for ‘Differently Abled’- a national initiative launched by the national president of FICCI FLO, Jayanti Dalmia. The chapter of Jammu-Kashmir Ladakh will give rays of sunshine to this sector, said Ritu Singh.
During the course of her several personal interactions with Kritika in the past few months, she felt strongly to support and empower her. “Kritika Khanna through her challenges has shown her grit and courage to overcome battles with grace, dignity and humility,” said Ritu Singh, adding that it is this very nature that struck a deep cord with her who identifies various sectors of women to empower.
A proud and big step towards empowering many in the region, who will certainly benefit from real life “Shero’s” like Kritika Khanna in their journey.
Earlier, this week Ritu Singh was guest of honor at “Health Screening Program of Divyangjan-We care” and has lent her support to Sahyog India for the cause.
