KATHUA, Mar 23: Ridima and Saksham bagged title trophies in Kathua District Chess Championship, organised by District Kathua Chess Association, under the aegis of All Jammu and Kashmir Chess Association (AJKCA) at ‘Giggles-Nurturing Smiles’ Playway School, Ward No-3, Indira Colony, here.
The Championship was held under the guidance of Atul Kumar Gupta, President AJKCA.
Ridima won the title in girls category, while Saksham claimed the boys title.
Manvi and Aditi claimed second and third spot in girls section respectively, while Kanishk and Ajay won second and third places in boys section respectively.
The Championship was conducted by FIDE approved trainer Ravi Sharma along with his team.
Ravi Sharma is also a FIDE rated player, who gave important tips to the budding players.
