Women’s U-15 One Day Trophy

JAMMU, Nov 19: Promising all-rounder Ridhima Rajput stole the show and won hearts as Jammu and Kashmir crushed Meghalaya by a big margin of 201 runs in the Women’s U-15 One Day Trophy at Barasat Cricket Ground, Kolkata today.
After making 45 runs with the willow, Ridhima captured 5 wickets to play a major role in J&K’s huge win.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, J&K scored a massive total of 259 runs in the stipulated 35 overs, losing 4 wickets in the process. Mannat Dofara top scored with 62 runs off 73 balls, studded with 9 boundaries, while Ridhima Rajput contributed 45 runs off 57 balls including 7 boundaries and opening batter Alisa Jan scored 42 runs off 47 balls with 8 boundaries. For Meghalaya, D Sangma, A Marak and D Biswa shared one wicket each for Meghalaya.
In reply, Meghalaya bundled out for meagre 58 runs in 31.4 overs, thus lost the match by a big margin of 201 runs. A Shullai and skipper A Kumari contributed 8 and 7 runs to the total respectively.
For Jammu and Kashmir, Ridhima Rajput was the wrecker-in-chief, who captured 5 wickets by conceding just 7 runs in 7 overs, while Ayushi Ambardar bagged 2 wickets by giving away 13 runs in her 5.2 overs. Ananya Dogra and Reyanshu Rani claimed one wicket each. The Jammu and Kashmir team is being accompanied by Shweta Singh Slathia as the Manager and Surekha Rani as the Co-Manager, Amit Pal Singh is the Head Coach, while the other members of the Support Staff include Nayna (Bowling Coach), Rohit Saini (Trainer), Sakshee Raina (Physiotherapist) and Sheikh Suhail (Video Analyst).
