KATRA, Aug 14: Reasi District Indian Style Wrestling Association is organizing Reasi District Indian Style Wrestling Championship on August 19, 2013 at Village Aghar Jitto, here.
The decision in this regard was taken in a meeting held at Katra, under the chairmanship of president, J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association Shiv Kumar Sharma.
Others who attended the meeting were Sardari Lal Dubey, Rakesh Wazir, Naresh Kumar (Pappu Lakri), Sanjeev Sharma, Deepak Wazir, Capt. (Retd.) Lehar Singh, Sahil Kesar, Raj Kumar Padha, Ramnik Nawadha, Sarpanch Karnail Singh, Sarpanch Ratten Singh, Deepi Pandit, Jagdev Singh, Sarpanch Sham Singh, Headmaster Gopal Krishan, Rakesh Dubey, Naresh Kesar, Romesh Kumar Sanmotra, Om Parkash Malkotra (Ex. Forester), Prabhat Singh, Murli Dhar (Munna), Babu Ram Ramotra and Varinder Kesari.
Mr Sharma said that the weighing of wrestlers will start at 9 am sharp and bouts will start at 10:30 am and advised the wrestlers to bring their Jangia (Red & Blue) for the competition. He further said the TA/DA will be borne by J&K State Sports Council.
Chairman technical committee Sanjeev Sharma disclosed that competition will be held in the 6 weight categories of 55 kg, 60 kg, 66 kg, 74 kg, 84 kg, and above upto 120 kg as per latest norms of the Indian Style Wrestling Association of India. Certificates and Medals will also be awarded to the wrestlers.
