Reader’s Cafe CC outplays Diagnostic Club by 27 runs

JAMMU, Mar 23: The Reader`s Café Cricket Club (RCCC) trounced Sharika Diagnostic Cricket club by 27 runs in a high scoring friendly match played at Phallian Mandal ground, here today.
After winning the toss, skipper of Reader`s Café Cricket Club Vivek Suri elected to bat first and team scored a mammoth total of 192 runs in the allotted 20 overs losing 3 wickets in the process. Sachin Singh scored 57 runs in just 35 balls while Raghav Sharma contributed 40 runs in 27 balls and both laid solid foundation of 107 runs for the opening wicket. Retaish Sharma scored 25 runs for the team. For Sharika Diagnostic Cricket club Sourab Gupta took 2 wickets, while Arun Zalpuri took 1 wicket.
Sharika Diagnostic Cricket club led by skipper Anil Bhushan while chasing the target kept up with the required run rate in the initial overs but the bowlers of Reader`s Café Cricket Club applied pressure on the batsmen by bowling in good areas. Sharika Diagnostic Cricket Club was all out for 162 runs on the last ball of the match thereby lost the match. For Sharika Diagnostic Cricket club Vikas scored 34 runs, Lajit scored 32 runs and Gulshan scored 30 runs for the team. For Reader`s Café Cricket Club, Sachin Singh and Rahil Sharma took 3 wickets each, Retaish Sharma took 2 wickets while Vivek Suri took 1 wicket.
Sachin Singh of Reader`s Café Cricket Club was declared Man of the Match for his all round performance. Sohan Bharti was the commentator of the match.
