DODA/POONCH Feb 7: A Range level Cricket tournaments were organized today by District Police of Doda and Udhampur here today.
Dr Sagar D-Doifode, DDC Doda was the chief guest and Raj Singh Gouria Addl SP Bhaderwah was guest of honor on the occasion.
There are various teams from all the districts of Chenab Valley viz Doda-Kishtwar-Ramban are participating in the tournament.
All the matches will be played on league basis. A large number of people attended the function along with various officers including Master Popsy, ASP Hqrs Doda, Raj Kumar Addl SP Ops Doda, PN Tikoo Dy Commandant IRP 5th Bn, Touseef Ahmed Rishu, DySP, SO to DIG DKR, Range Batote, Showkat Ali, DySP DAR DPL Doda, Assistant Commandant SSB and Assistant Commandant CRPF.
Meanwhile, another Range level Under-19 cricket tournament was also inaugurated by DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range at Govt PG College Udhampur in presence of Sargun Shukla- SSP Udhampur.
Rajinder Kumar Katoch, Addl SP Udhampur, Imtiaz Ahmed SO RPHQ Udhampur along with other officers also graced the function. About four teams including Devika Dare Devils, Pirpanjal Panther, Chenab Challengers & Trikuta Tigers are participating in this tournament.
The DIG exhorted upon the youth to take part in sports and encourage others to follow the same.
