JAMMU, Mar 2: Provincial president National Conference Devender Singh Rana described good schooling as key to healthy grooming of a child and lauded private sector for supplementing governmental effort in achieving the objective of universalization of education.
“A sound base is imperative for a strong edifice”, he said while addressing annual day function of Narula’s The First Step a pre and primary school.
Saying that education has undergone tremendous transformation over the years, the Provincial president expressed satisfaction that Jammu and Kashmir has been maintaining pace by providing congenial atmosphere to young learners with the primary objective of enabling them to face the competitive world with more vigour and confidence. He also expressed happiness over the expansion of schooling in far-off and remote areas, saying this has opened up vistas of opportunities for hitherto fore disadvantageous pockets of the State.
Rana called for close synergy between teachers and parents, saying this is imperative for monitoring the overall academic growth of children. He said growing consciousness among parents about education of their children has generated a healthy atmosphere, which needs to encouraged and sustained for the larger interest of youngsters.
The Provincial president complimented the management for making available necessary wherewith and other facilties for the young learners.
He was given briefing about the activities of the school, which focus on sports and extra curricular activities in addition to basic schooling.
On the occasion, the tiny tots presented a colourful programme which enthralled the audience.
Prof Rajiv Gupta, Pro Vice Chancellor, Central University of Jammu, Tanvi Narula, Principal, Rita Narula, founder of the school, Aruna Narula, Ranjit Kalra and others.
The parents of the students and faculty members were also present in the function.
