*Pradeep bags 1st place in quiz on traffic rules

JAMMU, July 12: National Conference provincial president and Member Legislative Council, Devinder Singh Rana flagged off Fahad Mir Memorial Motor Rally in an impressive function from MA Stadium, here today.
Mr Rana, on the occasion was accompanied by SSP Traffic, Mohan Lal; SP and president Jammu and Kashmir Motor Sports Association, Ranjit Singh Chib; Ranjeet Kalra, Member BCCI; RTO Jammu Ashwani Khajuria; former MLA Ajaz Jan; President Biker Brotherhood Club, Jugraj Singh; Advocate Sheikh Shakeel and president Fahad Mir Foundation and organizing secretary of the event, Ruchi Chouhan Khan, besides other dignitaries.
The rally with over 100 participants including car entrants and bikers after touching selected corners of Jammu city, culminated at Police Auditorium, Gulshan ground, here.
The organizers claimed that this was the first of its kind venture in the State, which spread the message of safe driving and riding among youth.
Later the rally culminated at Police Auditorium Gulshan Ground, Jammu where Inspector General of Police Jammu, Danesh Rana was the chief guest on the valedictory function, who along alongwith guest of honour, DIG Jammu Ashkoor Ahmed Wani distributed prizes among the winners.
A colorful musical programme and a quiz with regard to safe and traffic rules was also conducted on the occasion, besides a ‘First Aid Demonstration‘ as to how to tackle accidents was given by a reputed doctor KD Singh on the occasion.
The first position in the quiz was secured by Pradeep Majotra and the second place went to Panshul Sharma. The third spot was claimed by Avinash Suri and the 4th position went to B L Sharma.
Speaking on the occasion, IGP Jammu appreciated the initiative of Ruchi Chouhan Khan with regard to organizing the rally on noble cause, adding that Ruchi’s message “I have lost my son don’t lose yours” is heart touching.
