JAMMU, Apr 29: Students and staff of Government High School, Kalu Chak, Government Primary School, Ambika Colony, Government Middle School, Ratno Chak and Government Middle School, Kaluchak organized an impressive rally to urge people to enroll children with Government Schools.
The rally passed through Jallo Chak, Lower Ratno Chak, Lower Chowadi and slum area of Greater Kailash to stress people for sending their wards to Government Schools for studies, which was held under the supervision of Headmistress, Sarishta Sharma.
The students carried placards and posters with slogans ‘Each One, Teach One; Sab Paden, Sab Baden’ etc.
While interacting with the villagers, Sarishta apprised them of the various schemes of the Governments institutions like mid day meals, free books and scholarships for SCs, STs and meritorious students.
Urging the people to stop child labour and send their wards to Government Schools, she said that Government schools possess healthy infrastructure and highly qualified staff.
While visiting the slum area, Headmistress asked the dwellers to maintain cleanliness, besides sending their wards to Government Schools.
