JAMMU, Apr 19: The ongoing 1st Jambu Lochan T20 Cricket Tournament, organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Masters Games Association (JKMGA) at Maulana Azad Stadium, witnessed two thrilling encounters, with Rajouri Titans and Tantray Sports Club registering convincing victories in their respective matches today.
In the first match, Hunter Cricket Club, after winning the toss, opted to bat first but were bowled out for 135 runs in 19.5 overs. Bandish top-scored with 37 runs. Rajouri Titans skipper Shahid Malik delivered a sensational bowling spell, claiming six wickets for 35 runs and putting his team in a commanding position.
Chasing 136, Rajouri Titans completed the task comfortably in 13.3 overs, losing four wickets. Rafiq led the chase with a fluent 68 off 43 balls. Malik was adjudged Man of the Match, and the award was presented by Anil Abrol (International Chess Player) .
In another match, Gentle Giants scored 160/8 in 20 overs, with Vishavjeet Singh contributing 56 runs. Vijay Dogra impressed with the ball, taking three wickets, and later smashed 76 runs to guide Tantray Sports Club to a thrilling win in 19.4 overs. He was named Man of the Match by Rameshwar Singh Manhas. The tournament continues to highlight young talent and promote sportsmanship in the region.
