RAJOURI, Mar 30: With the objective to harness the talent of youth in sports and strengthen the Police-Public relationship in the district, District Police Rajouri under Civic Action Programme (CAP) is organizing number of sports activities all over the district.
As a part of (CAP) initiative, a Volleyball Tournament was organized by Rajouri Police under the supervision of SSP Rajouri, Dr Mohd Haseeb Mughal in Darhal.
Six teams participated in the Tournament to vie for the top honours.
The final match was played between Darhal Club and Dodaj-A Club. Darhal Club won the final and bagged 1st prize whereas Dodaj-A remained runners-up. Trophies and medals were distributed among the winners and runners- up teams by the chief guest on the occasion, Iftikhar Ahmed, Dy SP (Op) Rajouri.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Wakeel Ahmed Bhat, Tehsildar Darhal, Majid Shah, BDO Darhal and Mohd Sharif Awan SHO P/S Darhal.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest assured that in future also J&K Police will organize sports tournaments to harness the sporting talent of youth and expose them on National and International scene.
