SRINAGAR, Sept 20: Rajeev Sharma has been elected as president of Hockey J&K, while Jameel Mustafa and Rajinder Singh Kuku were elected as senior vice presidents, here today.
Manbeer Kour, Randeep Singh, Advocate Asima Ali and Gurpreet Singh were elected as vice president, whereas Dr Taran Singh as secretary general and Dr Karanbir Singh as secretary besides Hardeep Singh and Jagjeet Kour were appointed as joint secretaries and Anjali Thakur has been elected as treasurer. Moreover, Tejinder Singh & Priyanka Singh were announced as resident secretaries, whereas Supinder Singh Bakshi, Sanjeev Kumar, Rajni Bala, Shelav Sharma, Sameer Ahmad Najjar, Gurmeet Singh and Munshi Mohd Rafiq were appointed as executive members of the Hockey J&K.
The election was held at Hotel Lalit Grand under the observation of J&K Sports Council’s Divisional Sports Officer, Nuzhat Ara, Elina Norman CEO Hockey India and Sheikh Reyaz Ahmad from Olympic Association, whereas Advocate Onkar Singh was the Returning Officer and general secretary JKOA, Dushyant Sharma was also present during the event. After the election, Dr Narinder Dhruv Batra, President Indian Olympic Association interacted with the members of Hockey J&K.
