JAMMU, Aug 22: Raghav defeated Adam to win Under-19 boys badminton title in the ongoing selection trial matches for the forthcoming North Zone Badminton Championship at Indoor Complex, Ma Stadium, here.
In Under-19 boys doubles final, the duo of Akshay and Harsh defeated the pair of Puranjay and Nakul, while in Under-19 girls singles semifinals, Niteshi got better of Poorvi and Pehushee toppled Rashmi.
In men’s singles quarterfinals, Vipul Saini drubbed Nakul Vaid, Aman Badyal trounced Manish and Divam Gupta got better of Dhananjay, while in men’s doubles quarterfinals, Aman and Divum defeated Mayank and Manmeet, Raghav and Sunil got better of Shartul and Sahil, Rahul and Manish prevailed over Akash and Mujeev and Vikram and Vipul outplayed Gurvinder and Lalit.
In women’s singles semifinals, Keerat defeated Rupal Anand and Poorvi trounced Imjila.
