JAMMU, Feb 7: Quarterfinals lineup has been darwan in the ongoing 66th BN Mullik Memorial All India Police Football Championship, being organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Police Department at various venues, here.
The teams which have qualified for the quarterfinals include BSF, CRPF, Goa Police, Mizoram Police, CISF, Punjab Police, SSB and Maharashtra Police.
In the first match played today, BSF defeated Kerala Police by four goals to one via tie-breaker, in other matches, CRPF drubbed Uttrakhand Police by (2-0), Goa Police got the better of Bengal Police by a solitary goal (1-0), Mizoram Police crushed Assam Rifles by (7-0), CISF prevailed over Bihar Police by two goals to nil (2-0), Punjab Police trounced Jharkhand Police by (3-0), SSB blanked Andhra Pradesh Police by (3-0) and Maharashtra Police outplayed Sikkim Police by four goals to three via tie-breaker.
Now, in the first quarterfinal, BSF will take on CISF, while in 2nd quarterfinal, CRPF will lock horns with Punjab Police.
In 3rd quarterfinal, Goa Police will face SSB and in the 4th quarterfinal, Mizoram Police will meet Maharashtra Police.
