Punjab wrestler Talab lifts Gran Mord Dangal Title

REASI, June 8: Wrestler Talab, resident of Baba Flahi in Punjab lifted “28th annual Gran Mord (Reasi) Dangal Title 2024” by defeating wrestler Rahul of Haryana in the 1st malli main bout that lasted for 12 minutes.
The Dangal was organized by Gran Mord Kesari Dangal Committee in association with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association under the overall supervision of former Sarpanch Raj Kumar Sharma (president), former Sarpanch Kartar Nath and Jugal Kishore Sharma.
ADDC Reasi Sukhdev Singh Sambyal was the chief guest, who gave away cash prizes to the wrestlers. Shiv Kumar Sharma, former Joint Secretary J&K State Sports Council and president J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association presided over the function.
Chief Planning Officer Reasi Narinder Gupta, ACR Reasi Anshu Mali Sharma, DySP Reasi Neeraj Pandyar and SHO Reasi Chaman Gorka were the guests of honour.
The bouts were officiated by Deepak Wazir, Rajinder Kumar Ramnotra, Raj Singh, Pawan Singh and retired Captain Kamal Singh. The proceeding of the Dangal were conducted by Jugal Kishore Sharma (retired Master) and Anil Kumar.
Winner of first malli bout was awarded with cash prize of Rs. 90,000 while runner-up wrestler Rahul got Rs 60,000. Second main bout was won by Nadeem of J&K Police of Doda who defeated Sunny of Una in Himachal Pradesh. Winner Nadeem was awarded with cash prize of Rs. 13,000 while runner-up wrestler Sunny got Rs. 8,000.
Another 2nd malli bout was fought between Neeru Gujjar of BSF of Chandigarh and Dillar Khan of J&K Police. This bout ended in a draw and Rs 21,000 was jointly given as cash prize to both the wrestlers equally.
