Punjab Wrestler Sabba lifts 4th Chanderkot Kesri title

RAMBAN, May 22: 4th Annual Chanderkot (Ramban) historic and mega Sadhbhavana Dangal was organized by Chanderkot Dangal Committee in collaboration with Rashtriya Riffles (Indian Army) and J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association at Chanderkote, here today.
The Championship was held under the overall supervision of President J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association, Shiv Kumar Sharma and President of Dangal Committee Chanderkote & Ex. Sarpanch, Mustaq Ahmed Lone and DySP Majad Ali and other members of the Dangal Committee.
25 bouts were played in the one day long Vishal Dangal where wrestlers from Delhi, Haryana, Punjab and J&K participated.
MLA Ramban, Neelam Kumar Langeh was the chief guest on the occasion who gave away cash prizes to the wrestlers. Shiv Kumar, Joint Secretary J&K State Sports Council presided over the Function. Major Divesh Poswal, Naib Tehsildar Chanderkote Jawahar Lal and Naib Tehsildar Santokh Chand were the guests of Honour.
The first main bout was fought between Wrestler Sabba of Kohali (Amritsar) in Punjab and Wrestler Benia Min of J&K Police. This bout was won by Sabba that was lasted for 22 minutes. Winner Sabba was awarded with cash prize of Rs. 35,000 by MLA Langeh and other dignitaries, while runners-up Wrestler Benia got Rs. 30,000 from Ex Sarpanch, Mustaq Ahmed Lone, Naib Tehsildar Jawahar Lal, Santokh Chand and Sajid Ali.
