RAJOURI, Jan 1: The traders of the town under the banner of Beopar Mandal held protest demonstration against the electricity supply crisis in the town.
A large number of traders including members of Sarafa Association came out on the road in the main market here during the day and held protest demonstration. They raised slogans against Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and MOS, Power Shabir Ahmed Khan. They alleged that due to unscheduled and long power cuts, the public was badly affected.
The protesters also burnt the effigy of Minister of State for Power, Shabir Ahmed Khan, who represents Rajouri Assembly Constituency. They warned to intensify their agitation if the power supply was not improved within couple of days.
