JAMMU, May 29: Shiksha Niketan Senior Secondary School Jammu in collaboration with GS Sports Club and Jammu Police organised a programme on Drug Abuse, Physical Fitness and Trafic Rules, here.
Shrikant Balasaheb, SDM Jammu South was the chief guest, while Farooq Qaiser, JKPS,SP Hqtrs Jammu was the guest of honour and Social Activist and Chairman- Kotli Colony, Chandan Dutta was special guest.
Renowned physical fitness promoter, Malvi Gupta also witnessed the event.
The motive of the programme was to create awareness among students against drug abuse and its symptoms and to encourage them to stay fit and healthy.
Moreover, the students of 12th standard who brought laurels to the School in the result of 12th standard were rewarded with Certificates and Medals.
A presentation on Latest Trends in Drug Abuse was given by Inspector Gurnam Choudary, Nodal Officer, Anti Dugs Task Force, Jammu.
Chief guest Shrikant Balasaheb, SDM Jammu South while speaking on the occasion asked the students to be focused and honest in pursuit of their goals and said that only sky is the limit for those who are willing to seek.
Principal Shiksha Niketan Higher Secondary School Rameshwar Mengi, who also presided over the function, urged the students to stay away from drug abuse, work hard to pursue their aims and play an important role in nation building.
Guest of honour and special guest also spoke on the occasion.
GS Sports Club Chairman, Er Sushant Gupta presented vote of thanks.
