Prof Dhar declares open 17th State Athletics Championship

JAMMU, Mar 11: Three days 17th J&K State Athletics Championship got underway at Jammu University Athletics Track, here today.
The Championship is being organised by J&K Amateur Athletics Association in collaboration with Jammu University, under the auspices of J&K State Sports Council and J&K Olympic Association. The Championship was declared open by Prof Manoj K Dhar, Vice Chancellor Jammu University in the presence of Dr Minakshi Kilam, Registrar, Dean Students Welfare and Dr Daud Iqbal, Director Sports and Physical Education JU.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Prof Ashutosh Sharma, General Secretary J&K Olympic Association; Suneel Mahajan, President and Sharat Chander Singh, General Secretary, J&K Athletics Association, besides Sarwant Singh Gill, Rajan Sharma, Vikas Gupta, Vinod Bhatia, Ramesh Sharma, Nirmal Singh, PD Singh, Jai Bharat, Gurcharan Singh, BL Tickoo, Sahil Raina, coaches and officials of J&K Athletics Association, Department of Youth Services and Sports and Directorate of Sports and Physical Education JU .
About 300 athletes from various districts of J&K will be participating in the three days event.
