JAMMU, Oct 3: With an objective to restore the glory of the past, a 5-day Kabaddi Tournament is being organized by the New Age Degree College on behalf of the Jammu University in the premises of New Age Degree College, here.
On the 3rd day of the tournament, the event was inaugurated by chief guest, Prof Bhim Singh, Chairman of Panther party.
General Secretary JKNPP State Women Wing Anita Thakur, Gen Secretary Youth Jammu Province Ravinder Singh Billoria and other Panther Party leaders Jagdav Singh Mayan, Shanti Saroop Basotra, Manoj Gupta, Mohan Lal Verma, B S Manhas SHO Billawar, were present on the occasion.
Earlier, Prof A K Malhotra, Director of New Age Degree College Phinter presented welcome address.
In the first match, Commerce College Jammu trounced, GDC Doda by (38-16), while in other match, GDC Kathua got better of GDC Rajouri (22-17) and in yet another match MAM College scripted a narrow win over GDC Billawar by 4 points (38-34) Kathua team has won the match by a margin of 5 points.
Meanwhile, in the final, New Age Degree College Phinter defeated GDC Mendhar by 8 points (34-26).
