JAMMU, May 9: The Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, Prof Dhian S Bhau flagged off the contingent of 50 students of BP Ed and M P Ed-I Courses and 11 staff members of the Directorate for outdoor training/camp training to be held at Patnitop from May 9 to May 15, 2014.
In the camp, the coaches and the instructors would impart training in all the above mentioned disciplines and will also conduct the outdoor and class room teachings to gain knowledge of hiking, tracking, pitching of tents, yoga asanas, crafting of different types, group tasks, group leadership and preparation of different types of models.
This camp been organized since the introduction of B P Ed and M P Ed Courses in the Directorate as a mandatory part of the syllabi. All the students are provided an opportunity to show their physical, mental and hidden talent. The students are also given a chance to work in open and learn from the nature around the students in the Camp.
While addressing the students, Prof Bhau advised the students to learn the discipline, harmony, patriotism, dedication and sincerity in the Camp and strictly adopt the do’s and dont’s issued by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu.
