JAMMU, Mar 4: Avantika, a group of contemporary artists and intellectual held a prize distribution function of “Avantika Cultural Olympiad”.
During the function, Madan Lal Abrol, president, Avantika, Jammu was the chief guest, who distributed awards, medals and certificates among 62 meritorious students of Nav Yug Higher Secondary School.
On the occasion, HS Jamwal, Managing Director of the school was the guest of honour.
While speaking, Madan Lal Abrol said that Avantika, which is being run by the retired educationists, has taken the initiative of bringing out the hidden talents of the students and also make them aware about the social evils and environmental issues.
HS Jamwal, lauded the efforts of the school and also complimented the students for their performance during the Olympiad.
The Saroj Gupta Award was presented to Shorya, Kavya, Simran, Muteeb, Dhiti, Saksham, Suhani, Sukhmanjeet, Ayush, Rohan, Kanish and Taniya, while the Avantika Silver Jubilee Award was presented to Ashwika, Mukul, Neha, Tarun, Mehrish, Abijit, Diyansh, Aditya, Shalin, Swayam, Purav and Mehak.
The Gold medals were awarded to Shefali, Arjun, Goutam, Rashika, Ripul and Shriya, whereas the Silver Medals were conferred on Diksha, Ashish, Ashutosh, Ankita, Vishal, Rashi, Rohit, Poonam, Diksha, Muskan, Anuj and Ananya.
The Bronze medal was presented to Siddharth, Tania, Arjun, Rashika, Jatin, Tania, Ashish, Shivang, Muskan, Gourav, Raghav, Prerna, Akhil, Bhanu, Harshit, Arpita, Bhumika and Anish.
The cash prize was presented to Baljeet Singh.
