JAMMU, Jan 8: Career Abacus, a leading Abacus Teaching Institution, organized Prize Distribution Ceremony of the State Level Competition (Career Abacus Championship-2017) in the Auditorium of Govt Women College, Gandhi Nagar, here.
The function was conducted in two parts due to much strength of the students. The aim of the competition was to bring forth the talent of the students undergoing Abacus Training.
On this occasion, an impressive and colourful function was organized by the Institute in which Dr Mandeep K. Bhandari, Divisional Commissioner Jammu, J&K was the chief guest.
In the other function, PN Bali, Chief Engineer, Design, Inspections and Quality Control J&K Govt was the chief guest, while S. Rabinder Singh, retired Chief Engineer  and Prof Gurdip Kour, retired Principal Govt Women College, Gandhi Nagar, were the guests of honour.
The chief guest, guest of honour and other guests were accorded warm reception and presented bouquets of flowers  by the founder Director of the Institute, Arvind Sharma, Franchisee of all Centres and Staff members.
The function started with the lighting of ceremonial lamp by the chief guest and other guests.
Earlier, Himani Sharma, student of the Institute presented welcome address.
Arvind Sharma informed the audience that State Level Competition is held only once a year and many other competitions are held during the year, adding that Career Abacus is the only Institute in J&K that has been able to conduct State Level Competitions every year without any break since its inception.
For smooth conduct of the function Aakanksha, Chandni, Anita Koul, Anuradha Bhau, Pooja,  Mr. Ashwani Gupta, Shivani, Vishali Sudan,  Kuldeep, Ms. Monika Sharma , Shivani Mahajan, Ruby, Rimpi, Tanya,  Priya, Ankush, Deepak, Ms. Taniya,  Gaurav Arora, Vishal Gupta, Gaurav Kohli, Aarti Bedi, Amanpreet, Jasdeep Kour, Jhanvi, Amrita, Muskaan, Divya, Charan Preet, Sakshi, Sanmeet Kour, Vandana Gupta, Diksha, Umesh, Parveen, Vikram, Rajesh, Ajay and Rattan Lal  were also present.
Students who have graduated include Aaren Suri, Aarit Bargotra, Adit Mittal, Adrija Das, Akshit Sharma, Ariha Sharma, Aryan Naveen, Ayushman Gupta, Bhavya Mishri, Dhruv Jain, Harkirat Singh, Hitansh Khosla, Jaisleen Kour, Krishika, Navya Gupta, Kritika Gupta,  Ojasvi Dubey, Ritik Deep, Sabbhyata Verma, Stuti Bhougal, Sumriddhi Singh, Suvir Pratap, Tanishque,  Yashasvi Dubey and Yashna Gupta.
Champion of champions were awarded with trophies and bicycles and they included Palak Gupta of Presentation Convent School and Anvya Sharma of Jodhamal Public School, Jammu.
The Super Champions Trophy went to Tanmay Bedi, Hargun Kour Raina, Lavansh Aggarwal, Gania Singh, Gurbani Kour, Anit, Manseerat and Nishank Pandita.
The Champions of different groups included Stuti Bhougal, Vansh Vaid, Rajvansh, Aaditya Singh, Ashlesha, Himani Bhandari, Vibhav Koul, Sagrika, Gokul Gupta, Aryaman Malgotra, Madhvi Sharma, Harijas Sudan, Samridhi, Eshan Sultan, Bani Kaur, Gursheen Kour, Sunakshi Bali, Dilpreet Singh, Armaan Khan, Ananya Jamwal, Harma-ndeep, Mudit, Youvraj, Aarya, Hitakshi, Sanchit, Girish, Shaila, Harsh Bangotra, Sanid, Daks-heesh, Abhinandan, Sushane, Aarman, Mukund, Hemakshi, Krishiv, Lovenish, Ayushman, Ridhiman, Saish, Alyaan, Ojesvi, Aashima and Upinderpal,
A total of 108 first prizes, 168 second prizes and 209 third prizes were also awarded to the meritorious students.
The function ended with the vote of thanks by Nakul Sharma.
