Sahodaya Inter-School Hindi Debate Competition held

JAMMU, Nov 17: MV International School organized Sahodaya Inter-School Hindi Debate Competition for junior students.
Twenty leading CBSE schools of Jammu, Kathua, Samba and Akhnoor took part in the competition.
Sushma Chouhan, Deputy Commissioner Samba was the chief guest on the occasion, while Gourav Abrol, Director, MV International School, Vivek Arora, Principal, Bhargava Public School, Dr Sushil Sharma, Professor and Kundan Lal Dogra, Principal, MV International School inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp. Hira Lal Abrol, Chaiman MV International School graced the occasion as special invitee.
The participants debated on the topic “Are mobile phones and social media a boon or bane for students?”. All the contestants put forth their views and arguments skillfully and convincingly.
Dr Seema Soodan, Associate Professor, GDC Bishnah and Mamta Devi, TGT Hindi, APS Samba were the jury members.
Praguni Wazir, Class 5th student of Army Public School, Nagrota emerged as winner whereas Madhvan Sambyal of Class 5th of MV International School and Harshit Panda of Class 5th of Army Public School, Nagrota notched second and third positions respectively. Vardhanya from GD Goenka Public School, Navya Prashar from APS Kaluchak and Ridhima Bhardwaj and Anoushka Sanse Bhat from KC International School won first, second and third prizes respectively.
Principals of Jammu Sahodaya Complex who witnessed the proceedings of the competitions were Nirmal Mahna, Principal, DPS Kathua, Vivek Arora, Principal, Bhargava Public School, Dr Vikesh Kour, Principal, Doon International School, KCS Mehta, Principal, Army Public School, Akhnoor and Jitendra Hundal, Principal, JP World School.
