JAMMU, Dec 2: Government Polytechnic, Bikram Chowk, celebrated its annual day cum prize distribution function with great enthusiasm and fervour here today.
Secretary, Technical Education and Youth services and Sports, Khurshid Ahmad Shah, was the chief guest while Director Technical Education, Parvez Iqbal Khateeb, was the guest of honour on the occasion.
Principal of the College, Arun Bangotra, read the annual report and highlighted the all round achievements of the college during the year 2013-14.
Secretary Technical Education congratulated the students who were awarded prize on the occasion in academic, sports and other curricular activities.
A cultural bonanza was presented by the students depicting rich cultural heritage of the state.
Later, the Secretary distributed prizes among the students who excelled in academics and sports.
Earlier, maiden edition of the College Magazine “ASPIRE” was released by the dignitaries on the occasion.
Vote of thanks was presented by Lecturer, Deepika Sharma.
Among others, Secretary State Board of Technical Education, N. H. Malik, Joint Director Technical Education, Principals of Government and Private Polytechnics and a large number of students were present on the occasion.
