JAMMU, Jan 3: Police personnel flexed muscles in various events, being organized on the Day-2 of the Inter Zone Sports Meet at different venues, here today.
In Wrestling Free Style Men 57 kgs, Rohit Kumar of IR-1st Battalion and Vikas Sharma of IR-14th Battalion clinched gold and silver medals respectively, in 61 kgs, Rohit Singh of CID and Manzoor Hussain of IR-22nd Battalion bagged gold and silver medals respectively, in 65 kgs, Ashaq Hussain of Civil Defence of Shami Kumar of AP-8th Battalion secured gold and silver medals respectively, in 70 kgs, Arif Khan of IR-7th Battalion and Fareed Ali of IR-22nd Battalion bagged gold and silver medals respectively, in 74 kgs, Sher Mohammad of Reaso and Maqsood Ahmed of IR-22nd Battalion bagged gold and silver medals respectively, in 79 kgs, Balwan Singh of Reasi and Razak Ahmed of IR-7th Battalion bagged gold and silver medals respectively, in 86 kgs, Nadeem Ahmad of Civil Defence and Hoshiar Singh of Reasi clinched gold and silver medals respectively, in 92 kgs, Haman Hussain of IR-22nd Battalion and Sukhdev Magotra of IR-17th Battalion bagged gold and silver medals respectively, in 97 kgs, Gulshan Singh of IR-17th Battalion and Ishtayaq Ahmed of IR-11th Battalion clinched gold and silver medals respectively and in 125 kgs, Ishtaq Ahmed of IRP-14th Battalion and Javed Ahmed of IR-22nd Battalion bagged gold and silver medals respectively.

In Hockey Men, Jammu Zone registered win over Training Zone by 6-1 goals, whereas in Volleyball Men, Training Zone defeated Jammu Zone by straight 2-0 sets.
In Athletics 100 meters Men, Amrish Sharma of IR-18th Battalion, Rishabh Sharma of STC and Vishal Khajuria of PTS bagged first, second and third positions respectively, in 1500 Men, Tahir Aziz of PTS, Younis Ali of IR-15th Battalion and Parveen Kumar of Jammu clinched first, second and third positions respectively, in 400 meters Men, Devinder Singh of IR-22nd Battalion, Vinod Singh of STC and Waseem Ahmed of Kashmir bagged first, second and third positions respectively, in High Jump, Maninder Singh of IR-19th Battalion, Sushyant Sharma of STC and Sameer Mohi-u-Din of IR-1st Battalion bagged first, second and third positions respectively and in Javelin Throw Men, Arshad Ahmad of IR-6th Battalion, Hirvinder Singh of PW and Vikram Singh of STC bagged first, second and third positions respectively.
In Football Men, Jammu Zone and HG/CD/SDRF Zone registered wins, whereas in Kabaddi Mena, Armed Zone and Jammu Zone emerged winners.
In Handball Men, Training Zone and Armed Zone emerged winners, whereas in Basketball Men, Armed Zone registered win over HG/CD/SDRF Zone by 50-24 points.
In Baseball Women, Training Zone defeated Jammu Zone by 26-12 points.
In Tug of War Men, Kashmir Zone, Training Zone and Armed Zone registered wins.
In Badminton Doubles Men, SSP Tejinder Singh and SP RC Kotwal defeated SSP Swarn Singh and DySP Kameshwar Puri by 2-0 sets in the first match, SSP Ravinder Kumar Rao and SSP Sanjeev Kumar Khajuria defeated Retd IGP Gulzar Singh Salathia and SSP Kulwant Singh by 2-0 sets in the second match, SSP Sanjay Kumar Bhagat and SP Sanjay Prihar defeated DySP Vijay Soodan and SSP Randhir Singh by 2-0 sets in the third match and in the fourth match, SSP Pawan Parihar and SP Liyaqat Ali defeated DySP Nikjal rasgotra and DySP Kuljit Singh by 2-0 sets.
In Lawn Tennis Men, SP Sanjay Kotwal will take on SP Sajjad Khaliq in final.
