Police Academy organizes cricket tourney

UDHAMPUR, July 19: Under the Sports Action Programme, Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy Udhampur organized Inter-House T-20 Cricket Tournament, which concluded at SKPA grounds, here today.

The final match was played between White House and Tawi House, wherein White House scripted a convincing victory. Skipper Pawan Sharma, Dy SP was declared man of the match and SI Sanjay Raina as man of the series. Dy SP Muddassar Trambu was adjudged as the best bowler.

The tournament among the various trainee Houses was held on the league basis. The participating houses included Chenab House, White House, Tawi House, Sindu House and Jhelam House. The main aim of the tournament was to keep the trainees mentally and physically fit and to ensure that they would remain away from Social evils. Prominent among others present on the occasion were Farooq Khan, IGP, Director SKPA Udhampur besides Senior Police/Civil officers including S. Parminder Singh, DIG, Joint Director SKPA, Sham Sunder Sharma AD (Admn) SKPA, Nutin Rasotra, Principal Degree College Udhampur, Sham Kalsotra, Gopal Krishan Sharma and Pardeep Chopra.
