Players show composure on Day-2 of Dr Hedgewar T20 Kabaddi Gold Cup

JAMMU, Apr 24: The players showed composure and promise on day-2 of the ongoing Dr Hedgewar T20 Kabaddi School Gold Cup, being organized by Jammu and Kashmir Amateur Kabaddi Association at Kabaddi Field, MA Stadium, here.
Chering Dorjay, Minister for Cooperative and Ladakh Affairs J&K was the chief guest along with Vibodh Gupta, MLC in today’s proceedings.
They were accompanied by Parneesh Mahajan, Chairman NSM Group of Colleges and Schools, Abay Pargal of RSS, Kuldeep Kumar Gupta, Chief Executive Officer of Kabaddi Association, Surinder Mohan, General Secretary of the Association, Anil Modi, Press Secretary, Sangram Singh, Tre-asurer, Dinesh Gupta, Secretary Jammu District Kabaddi Association, Ashok Singh, Manager MA Stadium Jammu, Anil Sharma, Ankush Gupta, Ajay Gupta, Anuradha and Poonam Coaches from J&K Sports Council and Dharamjit Singh and Rakesh Kumar Sharma of J&K Police.
Chering Dorjay appreciated the working of J&K Amateur Kabaddi Association and encouraged the Kabaddi players for promoting indigenous game in the State.
He also appreciated the working and commitment towards ‘Swadeshi Game Kabaddi’ by the Chief Executive Officer, Kuldeep Gupta.
Vibodh Gupta announced Rs 6 lakh from his CDF for the construction of Pavilion Shed in Kabaddi Field at MA Stadium.
Earlier, Kuldeep Kumar Gupta presented welcome address.
He also extended thanks to MLC for contributed the CDF for the development of ‘Swedeshi Khel Kabaddi’.
In Boys Section, Raina Hr Secondary School beat St Francis School Akhnoor by 7 points, Aryan Public School trounced Gandhi Memorial School by 14 points, Govt. Higher Secondary School Palanmandal outplayed Abhay Higher Secondary School by 16 points, Bhartiya Vidya Mandir thrashed Bhartiya Public School by 26 points, Bhartiya Siksha Kendra Akalpur trounced Universal Higher Secondary School Shamachak by 24 points, Tiny Tots Hr Secondary School beat Trikuta Public School by 14 points, JNV defeated Govt Model School BPS by 20 points, New National Higher Secondary School beat Dogra Hr Secondary School by 8 points, New Era Public School beat HS Public School by 29 points, Raina Hr Secondary School defeated Naveen Siksha Kendriya by 19 points, Govt. Hr Secondary School Nowabad drubbed Sai Shyam School by 7 points, Trikuta Public School Bantalab trounced DBN Mubarak Mandi by 10 points, Sarvodya Public School Ponichak outplayed Bhagwati Haqikat School by 7 points.
In Girls Section, Sarvodhya Public School trounced KS Public School by 20 points, SOS Herman got the better of St Frances’s Hr Secondary School Akhnoor by 13 points, Raj Kamal Hr Secondary School prevailed over Bhartiya Public School by 1 point, KV No-1 beat Sai Shyam Ghou Manasan by 15 points, SD Tarapuri High School outclassed KS Public School by 16 points, Bhartiya Public School beat Jagriti Mission Talab Tillo by 15 points and DVN Mubarak Mandi drubbed NIT Green Model School by 11 points.
