Jammu, Oct 24: P.G. Department again its supremacy by defeating MAM College by (27-19) points in the final match of Inter-Collegiate Handball (Men) Tournament, organized by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu at Jammu University Sports Stadium, here.
Amit Sharma, Atual Jamwal , Pankaj and Shubham were excellent performers from PG Department.
Lida Singh, First Lady of the Campus was the chief guest on the occasion and Prof. Dhian S. Bhau, Director, Directorate of Sports & Physical Education, University of Jammu, Jammu presided over the function. Speaking on the occasion, Singh underlined the importance of sports and fitness in the modern era. Among others persons on the occasion were Prof JPS Joorel, president, JUTA, Vinay Thusoo, Raj Kumar Bakshi, Sanjeev Jamwal, Nisha Sharma, Vikas Karlopia, Gagan Kumar, Ravish Vaid.
The final match was officiated by Karun Magotra, Gourav Sharma, Sudhesh Kumar and Jyoti Sharma.
