JAMMU, Oct 10: PG Department, University of Jammu retained the Inter-Collegiate Football Trophy by beating SPMR College of Commerce by two goals to nil (2-0), here today.
For PG Department, Achal Sharma scored one goal in 47th minutes of the match. With this win PG Department made a hat-trick of wins for consecutive 3 years.
B K Magotra, former Director of Spots and Physical Education, University of Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion, while Prof Dhian S Bhau, Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu presided over the function.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Azaj Malik, Physical Director, SPMR College of Commerce, Amit Sharma, Rakesh Kumar, Raj Kumar Bakshi, Ravish Vaid, Vikas Karlopia, Romesh Sharma and Dr Brij Baloria,
The matches were officiated by Suresh Gupta, Taranpal Singh and Nileshwar Singh.
The tournament was conducted by Gagan Kumar, football coach, University of Jammu and Incharge of the Tournament.
