UDHAMPUR, Nov 19: Peddlers showed composure and promise on day-2 of the ongoing Devinder Sharma Memorial Open District Table Tennis Championship, being organized by Udhampur District Table Tennis Association, here today.
SHO Udhampur, Sanjeev Gupta was the chief guest in today’s proceedings.
Earlier, Ankit Sharma, Senior Vice President of the Association presented welcome address.
In Cadet boys, Aditya Bandral beat Prince Gupta by2-1 and Lakshya Jamwal outplayed Abhinav Singh 2-1.
In Sub-Junior boys, Diviam Khajuria trounced Vansh by 2-0 and Sharad beat Rudraksh Sharma by 2-1.
In Junior Boys, Harshit Ramotra drubbed Kanav Verma by 2-0 and Manik Sharma outclassed Navkesh Sharma by 2-1.
In Junior girls, Ridhima Sharma prevailed over Sohana Singh by 2-1 and Sonika got the better of Akriti Jamwal by 2-0.
In Senior boys, Sunil Sharma defeated Yogeshwar Singh by 2-1, Prikshit Khajuria drubbed Vivek Gupta by 2-0 and Akash Sharma beat Vishal Gandotra by 2-1.
The semifinal matches will be played tomorrow, while the final matches and the prize distribution function will be held on November 21, 2017 at 11 am.
The matches were conducted under the supervision of Tarun, President District Table Tennis Association Udhampur, Sunny Sharma, Vice President, while the matches were officiated by Sanjeev Sharma, Gourav Sharma, Sanjay Sharma and Rajesh Daya.
