SRINAGAR, Sept 26: Pedal against Drugs Cycling Championship was organised by Adventure Wing of Sopore under the aegis of J&K Hussaini Sports Club, here today.
The Cycle rally was started from Main Chowk Sopore to Government Higher Secondary Institute Botingoo wherein around 80 cyclists from various areas of Baramulla district participated.
Sudanshu Verma, SSP Sopore was chief guest on the occasion, whereas other prominent including Aadil Teli (Cycling Guinness World Book Recorder), Mohammad Mustafa Principal Botingoo, SHO Warpora , SHO Sopore, Advocate Azim Pandith, senior members of JKHSC Ahsan Ali, Rafiq Dar & Vilayat Hussain were present during the event. The chief guest gave away prizes to position holders.
In Sub-junior category, Mohd Aman got first place while as Abu Bakar and Saad clinched 2nd & 3rd positions respectively, whereas in Junior category, Arfat Bashir stood 1st, while as Asim Teli and Adnan Bashir got second & third positions respectively and in Senior category, Manan Hassan won the championship while as Nadeem and Aqib stood 2nd & 3rd.
The event was organized by Adventure Wing of Sopore under the dynamic leadership of Qurat-Ul-Ain & her team which was sponsored by Star Tech, Mann Te Salva, Ali Infra and was supported by J&K Police & Health Department.
