JAMMU, Dec 26: Defeating Khalsa Club Gole Gujral in a close contest by two goals to one (2-1), Peaks XI lifted the title trophy of ongoing 1st Chaar Sahibzade Hockey Tournament being played at KK Hakhu Astroturf Hockey Stadium, here today.
The Tournament was organised by Akali Kour Singh Sports Club under the aegis of Hockey J&K.
S. Sarabjit Singh Dhotia, Parcharak SGPC Amritsar was the chief guest on the valedictory function, while Charanjeet Singh Khalsa (MLC) and Kanta Andhotra, President Hockey J&K were the guests of honour.
Manmohan Singh, Ex-Mayor Jammu, Viney Sharma SP South, Sandeep Mehta (SSP SOG), Kuldeep Singh, Zahoor Ahmed, General Secretary Muslim Action Committee and Sunil Mahajan, President J&K Athletics Association were the special guests.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Avtar Singh Khalsa, Chairman of tournament, Narinder Singh Khalsa, president of AKS Club, Harmanon Singh, Organising Secretary of the Tournament and GS Bakshi, General Secretary Hockey J&K (Tournament Director).
The match was officiated by Joginder Singh, Angad Singh, Hardeep Singh, Jaspreet Singh, Karanjit Singh, Gurpreet Singh and Gagandeep Singh.
An exhibition match of women section was also played between KK Hockey Club and Sahara Club which was won by KK Hockey Club.
