PCCF felicitates Forest Football team

JAMMU, Feb 26: Principal Chief Conservator of Forests Abhai Kumar felicitated J&K Forest Football team, here today.
The team lifted the 4th Rajiv Gandhi Gold Cup Football Trophy by defeating the formidable team of J&K Bank in Jammu.
Addressing the players on the occasion, Mr Abhai said that J&K Forest Department will provide better facilities to its players so that they will excel in games and sports.
He said that Forest Department will work to organize Circle Wise sports activities and issues like regularization of Contractual / DRW players will be taken with the Administrative Department.
He also said that forest divisions would start talent hunt of players for different events and group insurance of players will also be done in days to come.
It is pertinent to mention here that PCCF J&K Abhai Kumar recently constituted a Sports Advisory Board for the promotion of sports in Forest Department and is very keen to frame a comprehensive sports policy in the Department.
The felicitation ceremony was attended by Additional PCCF Deepak Khanna, Chief Conservator of Forests, WPR&T S C Sharma, Personnel Officer M Latif, A R  Misger,  Chief Accounts Officer, Divisional Forest Office, PID Zamir Ahmad Thakur, Showkat Ahmad, Sports Officer, Riyaz Ahmad, Coach Football XI,  Suhail Alam Manager Football XI and Sunny Singh, Assistant Coach.
