JAMMU, Sept 19: To encourage people of Jammu and Kashmir and to support Fit India Mission to make health and wellness a top priority, Patnitop Hill Marathon was organized by The Seasons Play and Ironman and Fit India Ambassador Kapil Arora at Patnitop.
The event was supported by Jammu Hill Sports Club, J&K Tourism, Patnitop Development Authority, AM Hyundai and Skyview.
The event was graced by DC Ramban Mussarat-Ul Islam, Director Tourism Vivekanand Rai, PDA CEO Sher Singh and Umesh Shah, AD Tourism NHW and SSP Ramban PD Nitya.
Vivekanand and PD Nitya also participated in the event in 21.1 km and 10 km.
Over 300 enthusiastic runners from different part of India participated in this event. There were five categories of the run—5 kilometer, 10 kilometer, 21.1 kilometer, 30 kilometer and 42.2 kilometer respectively.
Top rank in male category in 42.2 km run was achieved by Nishu Kumar from Punjab with a timing is 3 hours and 16 minutes, while Sitanshu Kumar with a timing of 4 hours and 10 minutes secured second position. Third position was secured by Parwinder Singh from Jammu with a timing of 4 hours 23 minutes. In female category, the first position was secured by Manminder Kaur from Jammu with a timing of 4 hours 33 minutes. Second position was secured by Kanupriya Garg from Jammu with a timing of six hours and twenty-two minutes.
Top rank in male category in 30 km run was achieved by Sankalp Jain from New Delhi with a timing of 2 hours and fifty-nine minutes, second position was secured by Neetan Kumar from Jammu with a timing of 3 hours and one minutesand third position was secured by Aman Gupta from Jammu with a time of three hours and four minutes. In female category, first position was secured by Vasudha Samotra from Jammu with a timing of 4 hours and one minute, while second position was secured by Shipa Agarwal from Jammu with a timing of 4 hours and 14 minutes and third position was secured by Meetasaha with a timing of 5 hours and 2 minutes respectively.
Top rank in male category in 21.1 km run was achieved by Ritik Sharma with a timing of 1 hour and 28 minutes and 33 seconds. Second position was secured by Mohd Aslam with a timing of one 1 Hour and 28 minutes and 38 seconds. Third position was secured by Sanjay Mukati 1 hour 40 minutes. In female category, first position was secured by Zoha Barkat from Jammu with a timing of 2 hours and 30 minutes. Second position was secured by Shipachaku from Jammu with 2 hours and 38 minutes nad third position was secured by Anissa Nabi with a timing of 2 hours 43 minutes.
Top rank in male category in 10 km was achieved by Anil Katoch with a timing of 1 Hour and one minute hour and 39 seconds. Second position was secured by Amandeep timing of one 1 hour and 1 minute and 3 seconds. Third position was secured by Sandeep Agarwal with a timing of 1 hour, 1 minute and 54 seconds. In female category, first position was secured by Pavita with a timing of 1 hour and 19 minutes. Second position was secured by Shaileja Shah from Mumbai with a timing of 1 hour and 23 minutes and third position was secured by Lalita Kapahi with a timing of 1 hour and 32 minutes.
