BAJALTA, Mar 30: Pargalta Friends defeated Sidhra B Leopards while Majheen Sidhra Stars registered a comfortable win over Nagola Knight Riders in the Maruti Suzuki Nagrota Premier League Tournament, an initiative of MLA Devender Singh Rana.
Winning the toss and batting first, Pargalta Friends scored 125 runs in stipulated 14 overs, losing 8 wickets in the process.
Sidhra B Leopards failed to chase the target and made only 107 runs in allotted 14 overs.
Pardeep from Pargalta Friends was declared man of the match for his 18 runs and two wickets.
The second match was played between Majheen Sidhra Stars and Nagola Knight Riders.
Mahjeen Sidhra Stars won the toss and elected to bat first and scored 108 runs in 14 overs after losing five wickets. Nagola Knight Riders failed to chase the target and were bundled out in just 55 runs.
Jai Singh from Majheen Sidhra Stars was declared man of the match for his 27 runs and two wickets.
The matches were officiated by Saleem-Ur-Rehman and Pankaj Sasun from THE Department of Youth Services and Sports, J&K.
Sarpanch Bajalta Ch Rehmat Ali, Mohan Lal, Darshan Lal, Irshad, Mehmood, Suram Singh, besides hundreds of cricket lovers from the constituency witnessed the matches cheered the players.
Both the matches were played under the overall supervision of Faheem Tak, Vice President Take-1 Channel and Member Organizing Committee.
