JAMMU, Mar 14: Paramveer Singh was adjudged as Mr Bodypower J&K, 2018, while Raj Kumar Malhotra was awarded the title Mr Physique J&K 2018 during a day-long and first ever mega event organized by Team Jammu in collaboration with Bodypower, here today.
While Parmaveer Singh was awarded with a trophy and cash prize of Rs 50,000 followed by Ist runners-up cash prize of Rs 30,000 to Shramik Mahajan and 2nd runners-up cash prize of Rs 20,000 to Sandeep Verma.
Raj Kumar Malhotra who became Mr Physique J&K, 2018 was given a cash prize of Rs 35,000 and Vishav Gupta who was adjudged as Runners Up in Mr Physique was given cash prize of Rs 15,000.
This was the first ever mega international event organised at Jammu in which international athletes like Josh Maley (Mr Universe 2017) and Sangram Chougule (four times Mr. Universe) were the judges. They also earned thunderous applause from the audience while they made guest appearance on the stage and flexed their muscles.
Special DG PHQ, V K Singh, who was the chief guest on the occasion, in his Address congratulated all the winners and asked the participants who couldn’t win to not lose heart and try harder next time. He also felicitated the organisers and winners. He called upon the youth to join hand in nation building by participating in such body-fitness events.
Earlier in the morning session, IG (Personnel) PHQ, J P Singh inaugurated the mega event and said that it is good to see so much body building talent in Jammu and congratulated BodyPower and Team Jammu for organising such an event in Jammu.
Zorawar Singh Jamwal, Chairman Team Jammu in his address highlighted the role of Team Jammu in eradicating the menace of drugs in Jammu and also elicited that such event will motivate youth towards fitness and that will help them to stay away from drugs. He also presented a detailed account of the working of Team Jammu while taking up all the genune issues of youth of entire Jammu Province. He also assured the gathering that also included girl students of College and University that Team Jammu will continue to support all such events that involves youth and can help them in making a brilliant career in different feilds.
Nick Orton, CEO Bodypower in his brief address briefed about brand  BodyPower and asked the youth to stay away from drugs.
President CCI Jammu Rakesh Gupta, K K Gupta (Chief Engineer, DIQC), Rajan Gupta, Secretary Pharma Ditributors Association, Gagan Jyoti, SE, Ajay Wazir, SE, JS Rathore Xen were the guests of honour.
The organizing committee members who were also felicitated on the occasion included Mohinder Manhas (senior ambassador Bodypower), Nitin Mahajan, Nishant Sharma, Anil Kumar, Naresh Sharma, Raman Manhas, Amit Dutta and Naresh Sharma.
