Param FC loses via tie-breaker in All India Challenge Football Tourney

JAMMU, Mar 16: Param Football Club in a thrilling contest lost to hosts TFA Ratlam by 4-3 via tie-breaker in the ongoing All India Challenge Football Tournament at Ratlam, today.
The match ended (0-0) in the stipulated time and the decision came only in tie-breaker, wherein strong side of Ratlam prevailed over Param FC.
Earlier, Param FC dominated the play from the word go with maximum possession of the ball and a series of attacks. Team was denied of two clear penalties in first 10 minutes.
Unaffected by the massive support to the host team, Param FC kept the tempo up with some strategic positional changes in second half with ex-JCT and Lonestar player being pushed in attack from half.
Parvinder Kalsi made a brilliant save in the very first penalty of the tie-breaker. But the team could not take advantage of this and missed the third and fourth penalty neither could the goalkeeper sustain the tremendous pressure and conceded all other penalties. Arun, Saurav and Brijender netted their penalties, while Arjun and Pradeep failed to score hence lost the match.
Gagandeep Singh’s brilliance fetched him standing ovation. Arun Naghial was the captain of the team who led from the front in center with Brijender Kumar and Ravi Rana supporting him throughout.
