P Krishnakumar appointed coach for U-15 Girl’s High Performance Camp

JAMMU, Apr 9: The National Cricket Academy (NCA) Bengaluru has named Pudiyangum Kesavadasan Krishnakumar (P Krishnakumar), a former first-class cricketer of Rajasthan who hails from Palakkad, Kerala, as the coach for the girls U-15 High Performance Camp. P Krishnakumar was the bowling coach of the senior men’s team of the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association in the previous season.
The intimation in this regard and the letter of his appointment was served by former legendary Test Cricketer, VVS Laxman, Head Cricket NCA to Member-Administration Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA), Brig Anil Gupta today on April 9, 2024.
The appointment letter read “We are happy to inform you that the National Cricket Academy (NCA) on behalf of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), has appointed P Krishnakumar, Cricket Coach associated with your Association as the Coach for High Performance Camp of U-15 Girls to be held at Anantapur in Andhra Pradesh from April 29 to May 23, 2024. However, Krishnakumar will have to report on April 28, 2024”.
It is learnt that as a Bowling Coach of JKCA’s Senior Men’s team, he has earned great respect from almost all the members of senior men’s team.
P Krishnakumar has the distinction of playing 70 First Class matches for Rajasthan as an all-rounder (Left-handed batter and left-arm medium pacer) and has scored around 3000 runs with 5 centuries and one double century (208*), besides taking 165 wickets with 6/63 as his best. He has also played 51 List A matches and done fairly well.
