Open Judo Championship gets underway

JAMMU, Feb 7: Two days Open Judo Championship got underway at Shub Memorial International School Akhnoor, today.
The Championship is being organised under the banner of J&K Judo Association.
Atul Dutt Sharma, Excise Technician Officer Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion.
The ceremony began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest and the Principal of the School Shilpa Mahajan. The fights among the Judokas belonging to different weight categories and age groups were held during the day.
Manish Chatwal was the Organizing Secretary of the event.
Those who won Gold medals were Anuj Katal, Ayush Khajuria, Dilavya Sharma, Advitya Sharma, Devyansh, Mitilesh, Gurvinder Singh, Surya Partap Singh, Kridhey Gupta, Abhey Partap Singh, Vaibhav Dev, Rudransh Chib, Shokat Ali, Svanik Sharma and Mayan.
Silver medallists: Mukhtar Ahmed, Shafiq-Ul -Rehman, RetashThappa, Kartik, Ansh, Hardik Singh Karki, Aryan Jamwal, ShouryaDev Singh, Rahul, Akshit, Abhishek Sharma, Pranav vaid, Samar Sharma and Anmol Chandel.
Bronze medallists: Deepak Verma, Agrim Sharma, Inderjit Manna, Zulfker, Aarav Pandit, Arshit Sharma, Parshiv Arjun, AD Zhaid, PD Shaid and Jatin Sangawan.
Meanwhile in Girls section, the Gold medals went to Chanchal and Tanishqa, while the Silver medals were bagged by Shamin Akhter and Dilnaz.
The Bronze medals were clinched by Saima Akhter and Abidha.
