JAMMU, Jan 5: The All J&K Chess Association will organize an Open Chess Championship at IDPS School, Sunjwan, Jammu, from January 28 to 30.
The championship is open to all players of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and participants from all age groups are eligible to take part in the event. The last date for submission of entries is January 20. Entries and related details can be submitted to Bindu Pathania at 90866-12069, which may also be contacted for further information.
The tournament will offer cash prizes amounting to Rs one lakh, along with trophies for winners in various categories. The event aims to promote chess across the UT by providing a competitive platform for both emerging and experienced players.
