SRINAGAR, Nov 4: The 3 days long 3×3 Open Basketball Championship concluded at Basketball court of Indoor Stadium here
Minister for Education, Naeem Akhtar was chief guest on the occasion who appreciated the efforts of Sports Council and said that such tournaments should be held in future also.
Secretary Sports Council, Waheed ur Rehman Para said that they are fully committed to promote sports culture and integrating it with health and education.
He also said that such events would channelize the youth energy for constructive purposes. He further added that the doors of Sports Council will always remain open for the aspiring youth who want to join Sports.
While distributing prizes among the players, Education Minister said that that the youth is our endeavour to uphold and create ample opportunities for Kashmir’s youth.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were OSD Sports Council, Mushtaq Ahmed, Divisional Sports Officer Kashmir, Mustaq Ahmad, Cheif Sports Officer, Haji Abdul Qayoom, Sports Officer Central, Nuzhat Ara, Manager Bakshi stadium Nusrat Gazala, Manager Indoor Stadium Tulal Ahmad and coaches of various disciplines. The tournament was organised under the banner of J & K State Sports Council.
