NYK’s District Level Tournament concludes

UDHAMPUR, Mar 16: District Level Sports Tournament, organised by Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) Udhampur concluded at Subash Stadium, here.
The Tournament was held under the supervision of Meenakshi Sharma, Abhinav Prasher and Ambica Magotra in collaboration with District Youth Services and Sports Office Udhampur and Bharatiya College of Education.
On the concluding day today, in the first session, preliminary and final matches of Badminton and Tug of War were played. The final match of Tug of War was played between Udhampur Youth Club and Chirdi Youth Club. The winner of the final match was Udhampur Youth Club, while in Badminton, Aryan Gupta, Ritik Jandial and Mridul secured 1st, 2nd and 3rd position respectively.
The matches of Badminton were conducted at Bharatiya College of Education under the supervision of Sanjeev Verma, Mayank, Anshu Khanna, Saurav Pandit, Satya Bhushan and Deepak.
In the event of 100 Mtrs (Boys), Kamal Preet Singh, Arjun Singh and Arjun Thakur secured 1st, 2nd and 3rd position respectively.
In 100 Mtrs Girls, Seema Devi (Panchari), Sheetal Devi (Panchari) and Mayuri Verma (Udhampur) stood first, second and third respectively.
In the second session, District Level Cultural Programme was organized in which ADDC Udhampur Ashok Kumar was the chief guest and SS Kashyap, State Director Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan Jammu & Kashmir was guest of honour.
HA Bhardwaj, Principal, Govt. Polytechnic College, Udhampur and DYSSO Udhampur Kharati Lal Sharma were also present.
Shagun and her team who performed Dogri Dance claimed first prize, while the 2nd prize went to Priya Thakur and Ambica Magotar. Arti and her team from Panchari bagged third position.
The winners and runners-up students were felicitated by chief guest on the occasion.
