NYK organizes District Level ‘Yuva Utsava’

BARAMULLA, May 20: Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) Baramulla, Union Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports in collaboration with Chief Education Office (CEO) Baramulla today organized District Level ‘Yuva Utsav’ in Boys Higher Secondary School, here.
Chairperson, District Development Council (DDC) Baramulla, Safeena Baigh was chief guest on the occasion. Over 300 young boys and girls from 18 zones of the district showcased their talent in their respective categories. Five different events, Young Painting Camp, Young Writers Contest, Photography Contest, Declamation Contest and Cultural Fest were held during the day-long event.
Speaking on the occasion, Safeena Baigh extended her full cooperation and support for hosting such nation building events. She lauded the efforts of NYK Baramulla for bringing the youth under one platform and guiding the participants to stay away from Drug Addiction and participating in nation building activities.
Earlier, Deputy Director NYK Baramulla, Hakeem Abdul Aziz briefed the guests about the objectives of organizing such events.
At the conclusion, the Additional District Development Commissioner Baramulla, Ajaz Abdullah Saraf distributed about 25000 cash prizes and mementos among the winners of all events.
Chief Education Officer Balbir Singh Raina, Deputy CEO and Principal Boys Higher Secondary School Baramulla also attended the event along with jury members belonging to different academic backgrounds.
