SAMBA, Oct 18: National Youth Corps volunteers of district Samba held strong protest demonstration outside Deputy Commissioner’s office here today.
The NYC volunteers engaged by the Government in various departments, assembled near DC office here and staged protest demonstration. They have been demanding their permanent absorption in the respective departments. These youth said that they have not been paid for the last more than seven months and despite assurance by several ministers, their fate remained undecided.
They demanded release of their pending wages and their absorption in the permanent services. Later, they submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner, projecting their demands.
