JAMMU, Dec 4: Corporate Centre (CC) and Northern Region-I (NR-I) will face each other in the finals of the POWERGRID Inter-Regional Cricket Tournament 2015.
On the fifth day of the Tournament today, two semifinals were played in two separate grounds.
In the first semifinal, CC defeated WR-I comprehensively by eight wickets.
Batting first, WR-I managed to score a modest total of 107 runs in 20 overs. Corporate chased the target in 14 overs for the loss of just two wickets. Udit of Corporate Centre, who scored unbeaten 79 runs and also took one wicket was adjudged as man of the match.
In the second semifinals, NR-I defeated WR-I by 9 wickets.
Batting first, WR-I were bundled out for 98 runs in 19.1 overs. NR-I chased the target easily in 15.4 overs for loss of only one wicket. Pankaj Roy of NR-I who took four wickets was declared as man of the match.
The final will be played tomorrow at Amandeep Cricket Academy from 11 am.
