JAMMU, Oct 5: Novelty Football Club and Real Kashmir Football Club (RKFC) Reserves defeated rivals in their respective matches and entered into the next round of the ongoing Khyber Premier Football League 2021, being played at synthetic turf TRC here.
In the first match of the day, Novelty FC defeated Food and Supplies XI by five goals to zero. In the beginning, both the teams started aggressive and coordinated football. It was in the 19th minute of first half when Aqib Ali of Novelty FC scored a marvelous goal taking every one surprise. Novelty FC made another goal move in the 32nd minute of first half which resulted in another goal scored by Aaqib. Later in the second half, Aaqib of Novelty FC scored third goal in 53rd minute. Arjun of Novelty FC scored two goals in 68th and 80th minute. Novelty FC defeated F&S XI by five goals to nil. Aakib of Novelty FC was declared as Man of the Match.
In the second match, Real Kashmir FC Reserves trounced Kashmir Maharaja FC by a solitary goal. The match started with aggressive note. Both the teams tried hard to find the net but no one was able to score in the first half.
The second half started with aggressive note and both teams tried to find an opening. In 44th minute, Real Kashmir FC succeeded in scoring a goal through Owais. Kashmir Maharaja FC exhibited quality football and made some good moves on the opponent goal but failed to find the net for an equalizer. The match ended with 1:0 in favour of RKFC (R). Owais of Real Kashmir was declared as Man of the Match.
Meanwhile, in the ongoing A-Division Annual League Football Tournament, two matches were played at Gindun Ground Rajbagh here. Haroon FC defeated Al-Hilal FC by 2:0 goals, while Towheed FC defeated Haroon FC by 4:0 goals.
The tournament is being organized by Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) in collaboration with J&K Sports Council (JKSC).
